What is agenda management, and why does it matter?
Agenda management means preparing, in advance, the ground on which a brand will be talked about.
Agenda management is about deciding which topics a brand will have a say in, and making sure it is visible on those topics regularly and consistently.
This work is proactive, not reactive. The brand positions itself before the agenda takes shape, not once it has already formed.
Choosing the right agenda must rest on the organization’s genuine expertise. An agenda that isn’t backed by expertise weakens at the first round of scrutiny.
The most tangible benefit of agenda management shows up in a crisis: what the brand will speak about is already known.
